I'm a writer and photographer living in the mystical Sonoran Desert of Southern Arizona. Like many writers, I've followed a winding path that's included jobs in teaching, counseling and managing a domestic violence shelter. My published work includes two nonfiction books, a photo book and numerous short fiction and nonfiction pieces in print and online. I write primarily on nature and natural sciences, environmental issues and green living, with a little local interest thrown in.
